The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Rev. and Mrs. Clarence Teague, and Mrs. Shelby Smith and the late Tommy Smith.
She attended Southeast Community College and Union College, with a focus on elementary education. She is currently pursing a career in early childhood development, and is employed at Kids-R-Kids, Lexington, Ky.
The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Rev. and Mrs. Emit Thomas and the late Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Patterson.
He graduated from Spencerian Technical College with degrees in computer and industrial electronics. He is currently employed with Simplex Grinnell in Lexington, Ky.
The ceremony will take place at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 22, at Hensley's Chapel Baptist Church in Middlesboro.
After a honeymoon in Myrtle Beach, S.C., the couple will reside in Lexington.
