She is also the daughter of the late Robert Hurst; and she is the granddaughter of Liz and George Hurst of New Tazewell, Velma and Dee Brooks of New Tazewell, Eula Jean and Jackie Keck of New Tazewell, and Roy Gray of Kentucky.
Her fiancé is the son of Paul and Trula Day of Harlan, Ky. He is the grandson of Stella Ball and the late Hager Ball of Harlan, and the late Arnold and Alberta Day of Harlan.
Jeff and Amanda are both students at Lincoln Memorial University, studying to be teachers. Amanda will be graduate in December 2006, and Jeff will be graduate in May 2007. The couple will be residing in Middlesboro.
An open ceremony is planned for Saturday, Nov. 5, at 2 p.m. at MCM Baptist Church in New Tazewell, Tenn. Family and friends are all invited to attend.
