district teams this season. Others thought this would be a rebuilding
year after losing several starters, but the Panthers are going into the
Christmas break with a perfect district record.
The Panthers opened their district season with a win against Union County on Dec. 2nd.
The Panthers had a five point lead at the end of the first half, and went into the locker room at halftime leading by three. They added to their lead during the third quarter, and began the fourth quarter up by seven.
The final score was 71-62 Panthers.
Leading all scorers was A.J. Fultz with 26, and Tyler Brim added 20. Union County was led by Charles Roach with 24 points.

The Panthers played at Claiborne High on Dec. 9th. The Panthers lost a
point for each of the first three quarters of the game, but rallied during the fourth to end the game 62-56, outscoring the Bulldogs during the fourth quarter by nine points and disappointing the home team.
Leading all scorers was Senior Panther Tyler Brim with 22, followed by
A.J. Fultz's 14 and Clay Bisceglia's 11.
The Bulldogs were led by Andrew Nickell, who contributed 21 points along with Josh Estes added 12 and Brian O'Dell had 10 points.

The Panthers played at Gatlinburg-Pittman on Dec. 16th. The ends of the first and second quarter found the two teams still even, but the third quarter saw the Panthers fall behind by four, with a score of 50-46.
Yet the Panthers had come to play, and they held the Highlanders to only eight points during the fourth quarter, while they bucketed 17 points to finish ahead by a score of 63-58.
Leading the way for the Panthers once again was A.J. Fultz with 18, and Cumberland Gap had three other players to score in double figures. Clay Bisceglia added 15, Tyler Brim 14, and Joey McFall, 10, to the Panthers' win.
