He was preceded in death by his father: Lawrence "Goobe" Munsey; nephews: Gary Davis and David Mullins.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years: Peggy; son and daughter-in-law: Ande and Mary Munsey; his "above average" grandson: Scotty Munsey; mother: Sallie Bailey Munsey; sisters: Betty (Horace) Davis and Marie Davis both of Tazewell; several nephews and cousins.
Funeral services were Sunday, January 22 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Cole officiating. Interment in the Irish Cemetery in Tazewell.
