Middlesboro - Olive Rhodes Hatfield, 95, passed away Monday, Feb. 13, 2006, at Middlesboro Appalachian Regional Hospital.

The widow of Nelson M. Hatfield, she was born in Elkins, W. Va., on April 26, 1910. She was a homemaker and skilled seamstress, and did alterations for many years for Tamer's, The Tack Room and A.D. Campbell's. She was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Middlesboro.

She was preceded in death by Oliver Gene Hatfield, Donald N. Hatfield and Kenneth R. Hatfield.

Survivors include her sons, Daniel M. (Carolyn) Hatfield of Shawanee, Tenn., David K. (Joyce) Hatfield of New Albany, Ind., Charles F. (Debbie) Hatfield of Louisville, Ky., and Henry D. (Mary Boone) Hatfield of New Tazewell, Tenn.; daughters and daughters-in-law, Judy (George E.) Ridings of Richmond, and Gloria Hatfield of Orlando, Fla., Hortense Hatfield of Middlesboro, and Mary Hatfield of Knoxville, Tenn.; 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, at First Baptist Church of Middlesboro with the Rev. Mary Runyon officiating.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Middlesboro Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be Kenneth Hatfield Jr., Donald Hatfield Jr., Jeff Heitrenrater, George N. Ridings, Dennis E. Guthrie, Mark Hatfield, Matthew Hatfield, Todd Hatfield and Michael Witt.

Memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church of Middlesboro.
