Cleo Atkins, age 90, a native of Claiborne County and resident for many years, was born January 24, 1916 and passed away October 15, 2006.

She was a faithful member of Caney Valley American Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents: Henry and Shellie (Bunch) Noblin; grandson: Brian Beeler.

She is survived by her sons: Hershel Beeler, Larry Beeler both of New Tazewell; daughters: Pam Collier and husband Rick, Shelia Lester and husband Randall, Phyllis Stanifer and husband David all of Tazewell; grandchildren: Michael, Sam and Jason Beeler, Jessie Collier, Shelley Roberts, Jeremy Lester, Courtney and Clay Stanifer; great grandchildren: Jeremiah, Joy, Erin and Josh Beeler, Reagan Lester, and Dylan Collier; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 18 at 11 a.m. in the Claiborne Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Epperson and Rev. Tommy Russell officiating. Music will be provided by the Caney Valley American Christian Church Choir. Burial will be in the Raven Ridge Cemetery.
