FRAKES - Cecil Partin, 77, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2006, at his home.

He was born Aug. 6, 1929, at Frakes, and was the son of the late Marshall Partin and Viola Partin. He was also a deacon at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church, and had retired from Henderson Settlement after 30 years of service.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Alice Partin; son, Gary Wayne Partin; and three brothers, Edward Partin, Joseph Partin, and Junior Partin.

Survivors include his wife, Sidney Partin of Frakes; three sons, Juby and Lula Hicks Fontana, Speedwell, Tenn., Eddie and Edith Partin, and Darrell Partin, all of Frakes; daughters, Joyce and Chuck Mason, and Linda and Allen Partin, all of Frakes; grandchildren, Eric Partin, Brittany Partin, Bethany Partin, Tracy Partin, Darren Partin, Juby T. Fontana, Fonda Gross, and Robbie Fontana; a host of great-grandchildren; step-sisters and brothers, Betty Malkemus, Frakes, Florence Lowe, Jellico, Roella Partin, Clement, Ohio, and Pete Miracle, Fisherville, Ky.; special friend, Gene Mullins.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Wayland Mason and the Rev. Ken Kispaugh presiding.

Music will be provided by church singers and friends.

Interment will be in the Jack E. Partin Cemetery at Frakes. Full military honors will be presented by the Campbell County Honor Guard.

Pallbearers will be Troy Cobb, Homer Cobb, Homer Sparks, Carl Hickman Jr., Kenneth Webb, and General Hurst.

The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Friday at Creech Funeral Home, Middlesboro, which is in charge of arrangements.
