A life long resident of Lee County, he was of the holiness faith, and had retired from the Lee County Sheriff's Department.
He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Mary Roark; and two brothers, Murph Roark and Billy Roark.
He is survived by his wife, Clara Roark, Ewing; three sons, Wiley Pittman, Middlesboro, Ernie Pittman, Rose Hill, Va., and Kenneth Long, Hancock, Tenn.; three daughters, Angela Littrell, Tazewell, Tenn., Nikki Nicole Ray, Tazewell, Tenn., and Crystal Long of Georgia; three grandchildren, Jessie Pittman, Savannah Pittman and Amanda McConnell; four brothers, Alva Roark, Ewing, Wayne Roark, Amelia, Va., Charles Roark, Jonesville, Va., and Manford Roark, Ewing, Va.; three sisters, Roberta Adams, Rose Hill, Va., Lila Wheet, Ewing, and Elizabeth Shoun, Barbourville, Ky.; several nieces and nephews and many others relatives and friends; and special aunt, Leona Brock, Ewing.
Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Arney-Mullins Funeral, Rose Hill Chapel, with the Rev. Robert Charles Long officiating.
Burial will follow in Lee Family Cemetery, Rose Hill.
Visitation was from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Arney-Mullins Funeral in Rose Hill.
