He was born June 30, 1948, in Middlesboro, and was the son, of the late Rev. Charlie Browning and ParasitaPartin Browning.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his stepmother, EthelBrowning; brothers, Earl and Charles Browning; and stepsister, Roxie Maiden.
Survivors include his loving ex wife, Elaine Byrd, Maynardville, Tenn.; daughter, Kimberly Clapp, Maynardville, Tenn.; two sons, Christopher and Nicholas Browning of Illinois; grandchildren, Rebecca Brock and Bruce McGregor Maynardville, Tenn.; brothers and sisters, Clarence Browning, Middlesboro, Trula and R.L. Bray, Frakes, Hazel Evans, Chenoa, Homer and Jessie Browning, Pineville, Donald and Meredia Browning, Chenoa, Opal and W.M. Webb, Chenoa, John D. and Goldie Browning, Frakes, Thelma and Junior Miracle, Frakes; stepsister, Hazel and Roger Beeler, Jefferson City, Tenn.; sister-in-law, Patricia Browning, Chenoa; special friends, Modene Witt, Maynardville, Tenn., Gary Miracle, Chenoa; special uncle, Joe Browning, Frakes; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at New Vine Missionary Baptist Church with the Revs. Lee Mahan and Wayland Mason presiding. Music will be provided by the New Vine Choir.
Interment will be in the New Vine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, Jamie Browning, Stephen Browning, Malcolm Miracle, Freddie Golden, Tipton Amos, and Robby Witt.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at Creech Funeral Home, Middlesboro, which is in charge of arrangements.
