She was born April 3, 1922, in Claiborne County, Tenn., the daughter of late Jacob N. Cupp and Liddia Jane Tuttle Cupp. She was a member of Binghamtown Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, George H. “Woodie” Crigger; brothers and sisters, Annie and John C. Cupp Sr., William F. Cupp Sr., twin brother, Jonie Cupp, Robert and Martha Cupp Sturdivant, Dora Cupp, Jim Cupp, Lena Cupp Howerton Hancock, Steve Howerton, Ernest Hancock, and Butler Cupp; nephew, James Cupp Sr.; great nieces and great nephews, Roberta LeAnne Shibata, Bertrum Michel Miracle, Herman Ray Miracle, and Doshie Almedia Howerton.
She is survived by one sister, Bertha Crum, New Tazewell, Tenn.; one brother and sister-in-law, Plase Lee and Gladys Cupp, New Tazewell, Tenn.; sister-in-law, Bertha Smith Cupp; nieces and nephews, John C. Cupp Jr., Kathy Cupp Bailey, Wanda Cupp Baker, William F. Cupp Jr., Faye Cupp Soupe, Barbara Cupp Jones, Jimmy Cupp, Danny Cupp, Viola Sturdivant Williams, Bobbie Sturdivant Laughlin, Leona Sturdivant Shibata, Hubert Sturdivant, William Sturdivant, Jane Sturdivant Seymour, Thelma Howerton Miracle, Roy Lee Howerton, and Paul David Hancock; and host of family and friends.
Funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m., Thursday, August 2, at Shumate Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Boyd Gray and Dr. William Boyd Bingham officiating. Music will be provided by The Goins and Charles Mason.
Burial will be in the Drummonds Cemetery.
