She was the daughter of the late Dewey and Laura Ethel (Mills) McCoy. She had worked at the Atomic Energy Plant in Oak Ridge; was a teacher's aide at Ellen Meyers School, Lincoln Memorial University, Clerk at Claiborne County Trustee's office during busy seasons. She was a member of Shawanee Baptist Church in Shawanee. She was preceded in death by husbands: Andrew Bussell, Leonard Bush and William Rittenberry; son: Ricky Lee Rittenberry; brothers: Earl McCoy and Jeptha McCoy; grandson: Richard Harrah; sister: Judith K. Heiskell.
Survived by children: Brenda (Wayne) Gulley of New Paris, Ohio, Geneva (Morris) Harrah of Meadow Bridge Wv., Jeanette (Frank) Mulholland and Lillard Bush both of Zepheys Hills, Fla., Willard K. Bush of Sylvester, Ga. and Dorothy Evans of Pleasant View; 11 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; brothers: Pierce McCoy of Beaver Creek, Ohio, Hubert (Jane) McCoy of Athens; sisters: Vergie (Ed) Rose of Beaver Creek, Ohio, Dorothy (Maldry) Byrd of Little Rock, Ark., Bonnie McCluskey of Norcross, Ga. and Dora (John) Hicks of Knoxville; sisters-in-law: Janet (Mrs. Jeptha) McCoy Beaver Creek, Oh. and Luty (Earl) McCoy; nieces, nephews and special friend of 62 years, Mildred Wilson Nix and Wayne and Carolyn Sexton.
Funeral services were Tuesday, October 9 at 10 a.m. at Reece Funeral Home and Valley Chapel with Rev. Tip Moore officiating. Music by Dewey Gilbert and Barbara Owens. Interment in Harrogate Cemetery.
