The 7th annual Claiborne County Healthcare Foundation Golf Tournament was held Friday, Sept. 28, at Woodlake Golf Course in Tazewell. This year's tournament was a resounding success, with approximately $50,000 raised for the local foundation.

These proceeds are earmarked for the establishment of a Cardiac Rehabilitation Program at Claiborne County Hospital. A total of 59 teams participated in the tournament this year, and the beautiful weather made the day even more enjoyable. Claiborne County Hospital and Nursing Home, First Century Bank, and the Lincoln Memorial University DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine were the Championship sponsors of the event, but the Foundation appreciates everyone who participated in any way, whether by sponsoring a team, playing in the tournament, or bidding on some of the UT memorabilia in the silent auction. Make plans now to play in next year's tournament.
