An all-tournament team was selected by coaches following Harlan County’s 3-1 win over Middlesboro in the 52nd District championship game Wednesday.

Representing the Jackets were junior pitcher/shortstop Thomas Epperson, junior first baseman Timmy Helton and senior right fielder Matt Cox.

From Bell County were senior third baseman Travis Saylor and 8th-grade pitcher Dylan Cox.

Rounding out the team were Harlan County’s Tyler Boggs, Braxton Fields, Chris Southerland and Eddie Conley. Along with Harlan’s Zach Hollins and Tyler Grubbs.

Harlan County and Middlesboro advance to next week’s 13th Region tournament at Clay County.

The tournament starts Monday following the draw this weekend. The Jackets will face either 49th District champ Clay County, 50th District champ South Laurel or 51st District champ Knox Central in the first round. Harlan County will be playing either 49th District runner up North Laurel, 50th District runner up Corbin or 51st District runner up Barbourville.
