PINEVILLE—David Allen Partin, 49, of Pineville, passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2011 as the result of a mining accident in Smith, Kentucky. He was born in Lima, Ohio on November 25, 1961 a son of Truman Lee Partin and the late Helen Joyce Hurst Partin. David believed in the Baptist faith and was a U.S. Army Veteran. He worked for Manalapan Mining Company as a miner operator and a roof bolter.

Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Lisa Gail Webb Partin of Pineville; daughter, Julia Meredith Partin and step-son, Matthew J. Russell, both of Pineville; granddaughter, Samantha Elizabeth Russell; father, Rev. Truman Lee Partin of Pineville; brother, Terry Lee Partin of Pineville; nephew, Jonathan Colby Partin of Tuscaloosa, AL; mother-in-law, Lavonna A. Webb and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

Services will be 2 PM Saturday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. Ellis Hugh Hoskins and Rev. Clint Goodin. Burial will be in the Shelton Cemetery in Clear Creek. Pallbearers will be Scott Hunter, Waylon Hunter, Mark Hunter, Randy Miracle, Matthew Russell and Chris Webb. Honorary pallbearers will be Terry L. Partin, Truman Partin, J. Colby Partin, Joe Smith, George Clonce, Danny Miracle, Billy Miracle and all of David’s co-workers at Manalapan’s P-1 Mines in Smith.

The family will receive friends after 6 PM Friday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Partin family. Light a virtual candle and sign the guestbook at www.arnettsteele.com.
