Born December 24, 1936, she was the daughter of the late James and Maggie West. She was a homemaker and she believed in the Pentecostal faith.
In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by her son, David Taylor; granddaughter, Alena Taylor; brothers; Clifford, James, Shirley, Bufford, Belvin and Leford West; sisters, Barbara West, Miva West, Mary Edna Walker and Omie West.
Survivors include her loving kids, Marvin and Sharron Taylor of 92, Garrett and Elizabeth Taylor of Fourmile, Jimmy and Rita Taylor of Stoney Fork, and Douglas and Rhoda Taylor of Fourmile; special niece, Tracy L. Smith West; a host of other beloved nieces and nephews; a special sister-in-law, Thelma West; grandchildren, Garrett Taylor Jr., Ryan Taylor, Christopher Dean, Jessica Dean West and Joshua Baker; great-grandchildren, Kaytlin and Gage Dean, Marvin Westol, Haley and Lillian Dean, Nathaniel, Lindsey and Elizabeth West, and Dalton Taylor.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 9, at Brooks-Durham Funeral Home with the Rev. Arthur Jackson and Mike Liford presiding.
Burial will follow in Goodin Cemetery at Fourmile. Pallbearers will be Ryan D. Taylor, Darrell W. West Jr., Kenny D. West, Justin L. West, Christopher Dean, William Lewis, Coty Shipley, Brian Thacker and Joshua Baker. Special honorary pallbearers are Garrett Wayne Taylor Sr. and George Lewis.
The family received friends from 6 until 9 p.m. Monday, August 8, at the Brooks-Durham Funeral Home.
