PINEVILLE — William Wilder was set to be arraigned in front of Judge Costanzo Friday morning, but was a no show. Wilder’s attorney, James Hodge contacted Commonwealth Attorney Karen Greene Blondell prior to the arraignment to inform the court that Wilder could not be in attendance.

The two attorneys agreed to continue the arraignment at a later date that was undisclosed.

Wilder was picked up by officer Brian Greene of the Kentucky State Police (KSP) on August 3 on a bench warrant. He was released the following day.

After further investigation, Wilder was charged with two counts of rape of a person under 12, two counts of sodomy, and three counts of sexual abuse.

The charges on Wilder went straight to the Grand Jury, so he was never formally arrested for the charges.

More information on the case will be available in the upcoming weeks.

An arrest is an accusation only. Any individual that is arrested is considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
