Jennifer A. Smith was passing by Ewing Elementary School in Rose Hill when she lost control of her vehicle and ran off the road, striking a tree in the process.
Smith and her one-year-old niece, Nevaeh Knack, who was in the car, died in the accident. Her daughter was also reportedly in the vehicle at the time, and was flown to Children’s Hospital.
