Molly Knowlton Barrett and Dr. John William Stanifer
The bride-to-be graduated from North Carolina State University and is a private client specialist with Fidelity Investments in Durham.
Her fiancé is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William R. Stanifer, Jr. of New Tazewell, Tenn., and the grandson of Mrs. Peggy Stanifer and the late William R. Stanifer of Tazewell. Maternal grandparents are the late Dr. and Mrs. Fred B. Weller of Middlesboro.
He graduated from Wake Forest University and The University of Tennessee College of Medicine. He is a resident physician at Duke University Medical Center.
Following a wedding trip to Hawaii the couple will be at home in Durham, N.C.
