SPEEDWELL, Tenn. — Jay Partin Sr., of Speedwell, went to be with his Lord and Savior on the 8th day of February 2012.

He was preceded in death by his parents Nathan and Lizzie Partin; son, Dewey Partin; brothers, Fate Partin, Jake Partin, Clarence Partin and Luster Partin; sisters, Sarah Dixon, Arkie George and Dorothy Partin.

Jay was a man whom loved telling others about his Jesus. He was a selfless man who loved serving others, and was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include his brothers, Beth Partin, Bud Partin; sister, Sophie Lambdin; sons, Jay Partin Jr, Ronnie (Linda) Partin, and Jerry (Connie) Partin; special grandson, Jay (Rebecca) Partin III, and grandsons, Jerry Partin Jr, Daniel Partin; granddaughters, Kristy (Kevin) Wright, Sarah Partin; great grandchildren, Natasha Partin, Courtney Beth Partin, Jocelyn Wright, Zane Wright, Tessi Partin, Massey Partin; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Sunday, February 12, at 2 p.m. at the Pump Hollow Baptist Church with the Rev. Donnie Bannister and Pastor Dewayne Byrd officiating.

Interment will follow in the Partin Family Cemetery in Speedwell. Pallbearers will be Jay Partin III, Audie Miracle, Donnie Bannister, Dewayne Byrd, Mark Bolinger and Jeff Marlow.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 9 p.m. on Saturday, February 11, at Pump Hollow Baptist Church.
