BEAVERTON, Ore. — Lincoln Memorial University women’s basketball player, Dayshalee Salaman, continues to receive accolades as she was named a Division II Bulletin All-American Honorable Mention. This announced came on Monday afternoon, following in the wake of Salaman being selected First Team All-South Atlantic Conference and First Team All-Southeast Region.
Dayshalee Salaman was the catalyst for the Lady Railsplitters’ 14-13 season, as LMU completed the first winning year for the women’s basketball program since the 2004-2005 campaign.
Salaman led the Lady Railsplitters with 20.6 points per contest and 4.48 assists a game, both of which were tops in the South Atlantic Conference. That scoring average was good for ninth in the country and her assist average ranked in the top-50 nationally.
Her resume speaks for itself as she completes one of the grandest careers in Lincoln Memorial University women’s basketball history. She ranks second in all-time scoring with 1,825 points, a mere 82 points shy of the top spot. She is a fixture in the record books as she ranks in the top-5 historically in ten categories and top-10 in seven others.
Wayne State College’s Ashley Arlen was named the Division II Bulletin Player of the Year.
