A Bell County man has been indicted on first-degree sexual abuse and sodomy charges.

Bobby Akers, 21 of Middlesboro, was indicted on one count of first-degree sexual abuse and two counts of first-degree sodomy.

The alleged events occurred between Jan. 1, 2009 and Jan. 1, 2011. The alleged victim was under the age of 12.

Akers is currently being held in the Bell County Detention Center on a $100,000 cash bond.

The case was investigated by Kentucky State Police Det. Bryan Johnson.

An indictment was also handed down on Justin E. Dye, 26 of Middlesboro, and Jeffery L. Stevens, 36 of Hulen. Both individuals were indicted on the charge of first-degree robbery.

The alleged incident occurred on or around May 14. According to the indictment, Dye and Stevens robbed Christopher C. Yount.

Dye allegedly grabbed Yount around the neck, choked him and hit him in the face. Stevens allegedly put a knife to Yount’s neck in the course of committing the theft.

Dye was also indicted for being a second-degree persistent felony offender. Stevens was indicted for being a first-degree persistent felony offender.

Troopers George Howard and Roy Pace of the Kentucky State Police were witnesses at the indictment hearing.

Other indictments handed down by the Bell County Grand Jury include:

* Eula Ann North, 41 of Tazewell, Tenn., was indicted on the charge of first-degree possession of a controlled substance and first-degree promoting contraband.

* Jennifer Marie Miracle, 29 of Middlesboro, was indicted on the charges of second-degree robbery, operating on suspended or revoked operators license, failure of owner to maintain required security and leaving the scene of an accident.

* Aundrea Marie Williams, 23 of Middlesboro, was indicted on the charge of second-degree criminal abuse.

* Chad E. Knipp, 35 of Arjay, was indicted on the charge of receiving stolen property (firearm).

* Amy M. Turner, 22 of Jackson, was indicted on four counts of receiving stolen property over $500.

They ought to put Akers in the same cell for the same amount of time with Timmy Lee Jackson!!!!!!!!

So Chad Knipp was indicted BIG DEAL he didn't serve crap for time! He has already been extradicted to Florida on drug charges. Kentucky doesn't have very strict gun laws now do they?
