This month is adopt-a-dog month at the Bell County Animal Shelter. The event is usually in October, but Bell County Friends of the Shelter (FOS) felt that it was important to encourage adoption of shelter dogs during a time when space is critical due to renovations.
FOS will pay $30 of the $70 adoption fee for any dog adopted from the shelter this month. This fee includes spay/neuter surgery, one vet visit, one set of shots and a worming for the adopted pet.
