In conjunction with the Cumberland Mountain Fall Festival, 31 area runners participated in the Cumberland Mountain 5K Run/Walk Saturday in Middlesboro.
Taking first place overall in the race was Jeremy Donahue with a time of 19:25. Rusty Staggs was second in 20:06 and
Chris Woodring third at 20:45. On the women’s side, Tracy Brooks took first place with a time of 20 minutes even. She was followed by Becky Bowling at 21:53 and Deidre Donahue in 24:24.
All participants received an even T-shirt and logoed bag with the two overall first place finishers winning $100 to go along with a Nike Sports bag and running socks. The second place finishers each won $50 with the two third place runners taking home $25.
Medallions were awarded to the male and female winners in each age group. Those included:
11-20 years: Jason Rainey and Rayann Moyers
21-30 years: Barry Cowan
31-40 years: Jody Risner and Debbie Evans
41-50 years: Curtis Combs and Tabatha Boyd
51-60 years: Wade Brantley
