Harold Kenneth Lester, age 75 of Fourmile, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012, at his home.
He was born in Fourmile on Sept. 15, 1937, and was the son of the late Paul Sr. and Mary Axie Parker Lester. Harold was a member of the Riverside Baptist Church and had been a school teacher in the Bell County School System and a member of the adjunct faculty for the Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College. He was also a member of the Bell County Retired Teachers Association and a lifetime member of both the KEA-Retired and NEA-Retired .
Survivors include his wife, Alice Trosper Lester of Fourmile; son, Paul Kenneth Lester and wife Fadia of Raleigh, N.C.; grandson, Eric Kenneth Lester; sister, Joan Lester Broughton of Nicholasville; brothers, Carlos Lester and wife Louise of Pine Knot, and George Lester of Oscoda, Mich.; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
A celebration of Harold’s life will be held on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with the Rev. Terrell Gibson and Mike Parker presiding. Music will be by Shari Knuckles.
At Harold’s request, he was cremated at the Arnett & Steele Cremation Center in Pineville.
