Arnold Dorvin Fuson passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012, at St Joseph Hospital in London. He was 86 years old.
He was born in Bell County to Jeff Anne and Gertrude (Hendrickson) Fuson who preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Mary (Gregory) Fuson.
He worked as an electrician for 30 years, and also worked as a state electrical inspector for approximately 20 years. Dorvin served his country as a soldier in the United States Marine Corps during World War II.
He is also survived by his sisters, Jewell Coots and Leona Oliver; brothers and sisters-in-law, J. C. and Pearl Newport, Warren and Phyllis Gregory, Martin and Lester Burke, Hattie Gregory and Sandy Gregory; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the following brothers, sisters-in-law and brothers-in- law, Shelvie (Alice) Fuson, Clifford Fuson, Hilton B. (Marizetta) Fuson, Eugene Douglas (Ivalee) Fuson, Bob Oliver, Amos Coots, Otis Gregory and Wilburn Gregory.
Funeral services will be held today at 2 p.m. at Arnett & Steele Funeral Home Chapel, Pineville, with the Rev. Murphy Buell and the Rev. Shelby Money presiding. Music will be by Justin Griffin and Rhonda White. Eulogy will be presented by close friend, Ronnie Washam.
Internment will follow in the Green Hills Memorial Gardens, Middlesboro. Pallbearers will be his nephews, John Fuson, Jeff Oliver, Bruce Coots, Arnold Fuson, Bobby Oliver, Gary Fuson and Brent Fuson. Honorary pallbearers include Dr Shawn Fugate, Dr. Olakunle Ajayi, Keith Asher, John Slusher and Charles Hale.
Special caregivers include Chris Harris, Shannon Gulley, Rhonda White, Scott Smith, Rhonda Bayless, Tonya Brock, and the medical/nursing staff at St Joseph Hospital, London.
