Norma Jean Rorrer, 71, died October 29, 2012, with her loving family by her side in Crittenden, Ky.

She was born July 31, 1941, in Beverly, Kentucky (Red Bird) to the late Tillman Knuckles and late Edna Mae Knuckles (Asher). She moved to Crittenden, Kentucky in 1999.

Norma Jean graduated from Red Bird High School in 1959. At 50, She attended college at Sue Bennett College, where she obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Geriatric Social Work. After graduation, she worked at Grant Manor Healthcare in Williamstown and retired as Director of Admissions in 2007.

Norma Jean is survived by her sister, Alice Dean; brothers, Charles (Carolyn) Knuckles and Bob (Jeanette) Knuckles; 1 daughter, Kate Rorrer and her life-partner, Deidre Emmerson, ; grandson, Trevor Dean, 6 nieces and 1 nephew.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kimberly Rorrer.

A Celebration of Life service is being held Saturday, Nov. 3rd at Vineyard Church of Grant County in Williamston, KY
