Gary DeWayne Duncan, age 39 of Tucson, Arizona, passed away Saturday, November 3, 2012 at Tucson Medical Center Hospice in Tucson. He was born January 8, 1973 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. He was the son of the late Garrion Duncan and Sandra Prater Meadows who survives. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Mitchell P. Duncan and Thurman “Babe” Prater.
He is survived by his sons, Gary Matthew Duncan and Christopher Michael Duncan; mother, Sandra (Gary) Meadows; brother, Michael Jeremy Duncan; grandmothers, June Duncan and Myrtle Prater; uncle, Marion “Mic” (Sue) Duncan; aunts, Delena (Roger) Sparks, Teresa (David) Vanover, Vickie (Darryl) Wilder and Sandy & David Brown; mother of his children, Holli Duncan; cousins, David & Mindy Vanover, Greg & Stacy Sparks, Dewayne & Amanda Wilder, and Hayley & Robert Wilmoth, and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral service will be 8 p.m., Friday, November 9, 2012 at Shumate Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Murphy Buell officiating. Music will be provided by the Hensley Chapel Baptist Church Choir and Tiwanna Grimm. Graveside service will be 11 a.m., Saturday, November 10, 2012 at Green Hills Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers will be David Vanover, Greg Sparks, Dewayne Wilder, Dr. Robert Wilmoth, David Brown and Roger Sparks. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Friday, November 9, 2012 at the Shumate Funeral Home Chapel.
