Louis Joe Hood, age 73, of Middlesboro, Ky, passed away Saturday Dec. 29, 2012 at Middlesboro ARH. He was of pentecostal faith and a very loving husband, father and papaw.

Louis was preceded in death by his parents: Emmett and Opal Hood; the love of his life, wife Audrey Greene Hood; and his brother, Clarence Hood.

He is survived by two sons: Timothy (Marla) Hood of Carmel, Indiana, Jeffrey (Sherry) Hood of Frakes, Ky; six grandchildren: Joely, Roger, Frankie, Holdon, Maggie and Eden; one brother: Bill (Barbara) Hood of LaSalle, Michigan; nine sisters: Corine Turner, Jannie (Homer) Smiddy of Middlesboro, Ky. Wanda Hensley of Lafayette, Ind. Sue (Paul) Carroll, Dotty Shelton, Donna (Wade) Smith of Tazewell, Tn., Paulette Massengill, Helena (Bob) Runles of Harrogate, Tn., Karen (Kenny) Davis of Rose Hill, Va; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The Rev. Preston Smith and Rev. Jerry Peck will be officiating.

Visitation will be at Reece Funeral Home and Valley Chapel on Wednesday Jan 2, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Services will be Thursday Jan 3, 2013 at 10:00am at Reece Funeral Home.

Burial will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Garden.
