KANSAS CITY, Mo. — After taking a pair of South Atlantic Conference victories this past week, the Lincoln Memorial University men’s basketball team moved one spot to No. 19 in the latest NABC/Division II Coaches Poll, which was unveiled on Tuesday afternoon.

The Railsplitters moved to 18-4 on the season and 11-3 in league play after sweeping road games at Brevard and Anderson this past week. Lincoln Memorial extends their South Atlantic Conference record streak to 39-consecutive weeks ranked in the poll.

The Railsplitters continue to be led this season by senior forward Jake Troyli, who paces Lincoln Memorial at 14.5 points per game. Along with that scoring mark, Troyli ranks second on the squad with 6.5 rebounds per game. Troyli’s running mate, Vincent Bailey, is pouring in 12.6 points per outing while leading the team in rebounding, pulling in 7.6 boards per game.

The back court has been bolstered this season by the three-headed attack of Wally Jones, Cam Carden and Lorenza Ross. Jones leads that group with 11.5 points per game, while Carden is notching 10.0 points per and Ross is just under that mark at 9.8. Carden, a senior from Clearwater, Florida, is currently honing in on joining the 1,000 Point Club, as he sits 23 points away from notching his 1,000th career point in a Railsplitters’ jersey.

The Railsplitters are slated for a pair of South Atlantic Conference contests within the friendly confines of Tex Turner Arena this week, beginning on Wednesday night with arch-rival Carson-Newman. That game is set to tip at 8 p.m. On Saturday Lenoir-Rhyne is set to come to town for another 8 p.m. tip.
