HARROGATE, Tenn. — Lincoln Memorial University head men’s basketball coach Josh Schertz has announced another full line-up for his Summer Basketball Camp program.

“The summer of 2013 will prove to be one of our most productive sessions to date. We have multiple team camps, individual skills camps, and our Senior Elite Camp will again be offered,” Schertz said. “Over the last three years, our camp attendance has nearly quadrupled and I see no reason why 2013 will not be another record-setting summer.”

The Tri-State Team Camp, a round-robin format, will be held in two separate sessions, with dates offered June 3-7 as well as June 20-22. Last summer, more than 50 different high schools in the Tri-State area were represented. Teams from Georgia, Indiana, North and South Carolina also participated. Lincoln Memorial also offers an overnight option for teams as well as a commuting option. Teams can even choose specific participation days.

In additon to the Tri-State Team Camps, LMU will also offer a Middle School Shoot-Out as a one-day round robin play-day. This will be open to all middle school teams on June 8. For team camp registration or more information contact coach Cameron Whicker (423-869-6346).

Coach Schertz also announced the return by popular demand of the Individual Skills Camps. There will be two offerings of the Individual Skills Camps with sessions on June 24-28 and Aug. 5-7. Last summer, the Lincoln Memorial University men’s basketball players and coaches taught, instructed and interacted with more than 200 camp participants. The camps are open to boys and girls entering grades K-12 of all ability levels. The Individual Skills Camps are overseen by the entire LMU men’s basketball coaching staff, and prides itself on providing as much individual instruction as possible in one weeks’ time. Full-day and half-day options are available. For more information and to register, contact coach Chris Cottrell (423-869-6346).

Finally, the Lincoln Memorial men’s basketball staff will be holding its annual end of summer Senior Elite Camp. The Senior Elite Camp is offered to high school boys entering their junior and senior years. This camp will offer potential future student-athletes a glimpse into the life of a Lincoln Memorial University men’s basketball player. Campers will participate in skill development drills, 5-on-5 games, and be evaluated by the Lincoln Memorial University men’s basketball coaching staff. That camp is set for Aug. 10. For more information, please contact coach Cottrell.
