Charity Shackleford, 85, of Middlesboro, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 19, 2013 at the Middlesboro ARH. She was born Nov. 9, 1927 at Harlan, KY., a daughter of the late Matt and China Gibson Mason. She was a member of the Ferndale Pentecostal Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Arnold Shackleford; son: Earl Dean Elliott; daughter: Zenoba Lamb; grandson: Joey Brown; great grandson: Logan Marcum and several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include: children: Wallace (Carolyn) Elliott, Jr. of Ferndale, Leona (Joe) Brown of Maides, N.C., Patricia (Steven) Rootson of Pruden, TX., Helen (Bob) Marcum of Middlesboro, Robert (Wanda) Elliott of Middlesboro; 20 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren.

Special recognition to the Middlesboro Health Care Facility.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Creech Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Walter Brock presiding. Music by: Luther Adkins, Gary Kidwell, Eddie and Judy Adkins. Interment will follow in the Green Hills Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Grandsons. The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Saturday at the Creech Funeral Home Chapel.
