Freda Lee Peace VanBever, 81 of Middlesboro, passed away Monday April 22, 2013 at the Middlesboro Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility. She was born December 29, 1931 at Colmar, KY. A Daughter of the late James and Eula Pursiful Peace. She was a member of the Binghamtown Baptist Church, where she established a group for the local nursing homes and shut ins called Circle of Friends. She was preceded in death by her Parents: James and Eula Peace, Sister: Sue Wilson, and Brother: Leo Peace.
Survivors include: Husband of 62 years: Harold VanBever of Middlesboro; Daughter: Robin (William) Wilson of Middlesboro; 2 Brothers: Benny Peace of Church Hill, TN., Jerry (Joan) Peace of Castalian Springs, TN.; Sister: Kathleen (Jim) Michaud of Marquette, MI.; 3 Granddaughters who she loved better than anything: Becky (Brad) Akers of Pineville, Amy (Joe) Settles of Colmar, Kimberley Wilson of Knoxville, TN.

Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Binghamtown Baptist Church with Dr. William Boyd Bingham and Rev. Mike Welch presiding. Music will be provided by the Binghamtown Baptist Church Choir and Luke Peace. Burial will follow in the Green Hills Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be: Joe Settles, Brad Akers, Luke Peace, Jonathan Peace, Wayne Peace, and Chester Slomba. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Men of the Binghamtown Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. Thursday at the Binghamtown Baptist Church.
