Mrs. Wilma Jane Rowland,of Middlesboro, KY,went to be with her Lord on May 14, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Rowland; her father and mother, Benjamin Franklin Gerstle and Stella Smith Gerstle; sisters, Alice Turner and Iris Higgs; brothers, Bennie Gerstle and Bascom Slemp; and nieces Charlotte Shelton and Pat Higgs.


Survivors include: Niece Jenna Welch; nephew Tom Shelton; great nieces and nephews, Tomelle Tornatta, Alice Maddox and husband Dr. Jim Maddox, Jan Warren, Julie Farmer, Martha Elizabeth Watson, Travis Shelton and Jay Welch and wife Lisa. She is also survived by dear friends Ike Slusher and daughters, Debbie Slusher, Gingie Martin and husband Steve, Sarah Ausmus and husband Jeff, and JaneL Paynter and husband Charles..


Wilma Jane was a member of First Baptist Church of Middlesboro where she was a part of the church choir and the Joyful Sunday School Class.


Services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 19th at First Baptist Church, conducted by Reverend Don Gardner. Music will be provided by John and Beth Parker. Burial will be in the Middlesboro Cemetery immediately following the service. Visitation will be held from 2-3 p.m. on Sunday, May 19th at First Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, Middlesboro.
