Britt (Bill Britt) Wilder, 65, of Miracle, KY, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2013 at his brother’s home, surrounded by his wife and family.

He was born December 3, 1947 at Cubbage, KY, the son of the late Bill and Nancy Ellen Pittman Wilder. He was a member of the Community Chapel Church at Blacksnake. He was baptized on May 30, 2010. He was Mason and a member of the Oleika Shrine Temple. He was a retired coal miner.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Martin, Hugh, Lowell and Winston Wilder, and his honorary brother: Louis Lingar.

He is survived by the following members of his family:

Wife: Teresa Brown Wilder of Miracle, KY

Son and Daughter –in-law: Ricky and Kathy Morefield Wilder of Harrogate, TN

Daughter and her fiancé: Angela Wilder and Leonard Bolton of Duff, TN

Step-Children: Angel (Haylanne) Ballenger of Middlesboro, KY, Amanda (Greg) Hunley of Morristown, TN and Danny Wilder of Laurel Hill.

Grandchildren: George Wilson of Hutch, KY, Paul Young of Duff, TN, Dashawn Ballenger, Nyssa Ballenger, DaMan Ballenger and Jaden Ballenger all of Middlesboro, KY, Evan Hunley of Morristown, TN and Jacob Wilder of Laurel Hill.

Brother and Sister-in-law: Roger and Deanna Wilder of Cubbage, KY

Sisters and Brothers-in-law: Rose Ann and King Roark of Tazewell, TN, Ruth Lee of Cubbage, KY, Janie and Rev. Gerald Lawson of Cubbage, KY, Patsy Wilder of Cubbage, KY, Deena and Rev. Jimmy Nelson of Des Arc, Missouri, Deborah and Harry Hunley of Cubbage, KY

And a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday May 22, at the Community Chapel Church in Blacksnake Hollow, with the Rev. Kenneth Wayne Hoskins presiding. Music will be provided by the Church Singers and Deena Nelson. Interment will follow in the Pittman Cemetery at Cubbage, KY. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, at the Creech Funeral Home with Masonic Rites being conducted at 7:00 p.m., then after 9:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Community Chapel Church.
