HARLAN, Ky.—Martha Saylor Helton 84, of Harlan, Ky. passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Helton was born October 8, 1924 in Bell County, Ky. She was a homemaker and believed in the Baptist Faith.

Mrs. Helton was preceded in death by her husband Grant Helton;parents George & Laura North Saylor;two children:Frances Helton & Laura Helton Caldwell;one grandson, Jeffrey Ray Goff Jr.;nine brothers & sisters: Phronie Saylor, Perley Jean Saylor, Holbert Saylor, Ethel Saylor, Mossie Adams, Mary Saylor, George Saylor Jr., Charlie Saylor, & Freeman Saylor;one son-in-law, William Wynn.

Survivors include two daughters:Sarah Goff & husband Ray of Somerset, Ky.,Irene Wynn of Harlan, Ky., one son, George Helton & wife Christine of Burnside, Ky.; three brothers: Daniel Saylor of Chicago, IL. Don Saylor & wife Linda of Pike Co. Ky. & Andy Saylor & Wife Viredia of Harlan, Ky.; four sisters: Bessie Madwell fof Harlan, Ky. Evelon Rogers & husband Charlie of Chicago, IL. Wilma Bulka & husband Pete of Indianapolis, IN. & Mrs. Dallas Smith of Bledsoe, Ky. Also surviving are her grandchildren: Brian Goff, Jassica Goff, Charles Dewayne Helton, Mark Hoskins, Katie Taylor, Melinda Hensley, Frances Bolin, Rhonda Helton, Misty Walls, Donnie Helton, Travis Helton, Heather Opferman, David Opferman, Allen Helton, Tiffany Helton, Michelle Irvin. Great grandchildren: Jash Hensley, Danielle Taylor, Geroge Christian Loveless, Conner Jordan Loveless, Tabitha Gregory, Tori Gregory, D.J. Helton, Stephen Helton, Bradley Helton, & Cody Helton. Great-great grandchildren: Brittany Helton Carlos Junior, Helton, Lakeisha Helton, Mark Allen Hoskins, Michael Hoskins & Jacob Hensley and a host of friends & other family also survive.

Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, May 2, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home with the Rev. Herstel Belcher & Rev. Jeff Mills officiating. Burial will follow the services in the Ben’s Branch Cemetery of Bledsoe, Ky.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 1, 2009 From 6:00 To 9:00 P.M. in the chapel of the Funeral Home.
