This young team has come together quickly after losing three seniors from last year, opening the season with three straight wins.
Returning players Brandon Bisceglia and Michael Wilson have been leading the way and encouraging their teammates to be the best they can.
Tuesday the Jackets shot a 171 to defeat North Laurel’s 175 by four strokes.
Wilson’s 2 over par 38 was good enough to claim medalist honors for the match. Others playing for Middlesboro were: Brandon Bisceglia -44, Jared Lasley-46, Eric Francis-43, and Tyler Partin-51.
Thursday the Yellow Jackets took on Williamsburg at Wasioto Winds, with both teams shooting a team score of 172.
Bisceglia and Wilson again posted the top scores for MHS, each shooting a 5 over par 41 for the nine hole match.
Others playing for Middlesboro and their scores: Jared Lasley-43, Nick Capps and Eric Francis both shot 47.
Zack Burr shot a 4 over par 40 to lead the way for Williamsburg.
Clay County also competed in the match shooting a team score of 175. Brothers Todd and Tyler McDaniel claimed medalist honors in the match with a 2 over par 38.
