Born September 11, 1917, in Valley Creek, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late Henry and Cora Partin Hamblin. She was a member of the Valley Creek Missionary Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, David Hatfield; one sister, Leona Teague; two brothers, Dewey Hamblin and John Hamblin.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Edward Hatfield ofFrakes; son, Henry (Hazel) Hamblinof Frakes; six grandchildren, Teresa Partin, James Edward Hatfield, Henrietta Osborne, David Joe Hatfield Jr., Dennis Hatfield, and Ricky Hatfield; seven great-grandchildren, Amanda Garrett, Joni Fontana, Jessica Fontana, Daniel Hatfield, Sabrina Hatfield, Kayla Hatfield and Shawn Perkins; one sister, Gincy Bostic of Clairfield, Tenn.; two brothers, Henry Hamblin of Clairfield, Tenn., and Bill Hamblin of Jellico, Tenn.; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12 p.m. Thursday at the Creech Funeral Home Chapel. Music will be provided by the Hanging Rock Missionary Baptist Church Choir.
Interment will be in the Tracy Branch Cemetery at Frakes. Friends of the family will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Creech Funeral Home.
