“Aunt Cat” or “Kitty”, as she was called, was born December 1, 1919, in Pineville. She was a devoted member of Bethel Baptist Church, where she served faithfully for many years. She was also a retired cook from the Hub Grill and Bell Whitley Head Start Program.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Florence Stewart Cloud; her beloved husband, Jessie White; a brother, Joseph (June) Cloud; sisters, Mary Helen Cloud, Mary Hester Cloud, Lucille Cloud, Juanita Fergerson and Jessie Mays; nieces, Bernice Cooke and Joanna Zachery.
Survivors include her dear sister and caregiver, Rosa Mary Cloud of Pineville; brother, Walter (Alice) Cloud of Decatur, Ga.; grandchildren, Renee (Micheal) Carton (caregiver); Ricky (Betty) Washington, James (Jap) Cloud, and Pam Cloud all of Pineville, and Rose Lynn Cloud of Middlesboro; great-grandchildren, TaMicca Carton, Dominic Carton, Niesha Cloud, Coletta Locke, Rachaad Cloud, Tracy Washington, Brian Cloud and Tyrone Henson; great-great-grandchildren, Tyler Sturgill, Gia Sturgill, Dakota Saylor, Cadience Blackburn and Kiara Cloud; special nieces, Tenna Cloud (caregiver), Florence Mays and Mary Etta Cloud; special nephews, Austin Pursiful, Charles Pursiful and Raymond Cloud; special friends, Joyce Whitley, Fannie Chattman, Ruth Fergerson, Marie Fergerson, Tootie Zachery, and Kaye Madon; her many friends and staff of Horizon Adult Care Center; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Bethel Baptist Church in Pineville, with the Rev. Robert Cornett and Evangelist Michael Fergerson presiding.
Burial will be in the Wallsend Cemetery in Pineville.
