Rose Hill, Va. - Amy H. Collins, 82, was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. on Oct. 24, 1922, moved to Lee County in 1947, and went to be with her heavenly Father on Saturday, July 2, 2005.

She was a homemaker, farmer, loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother. She was a member of the Eastern Star in Brooklyn, N.Y., and was a member of Silver Leaf Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Marie Blauvelt; husband, Olin Collins; brother, Henry Blauvelt; and grandson, Daniel Jacob Williams.

Surviving are two daughters, Virginia (Ginny) Collins, and Linda and Daniel Williams, all of Rose Hill; six grandchildren, Sgt. 1st Class John S. Collins of Fort Hood, Texas, and wife Francena Collins, Fort Knox, Ky., Jerry S. Collins and wife Sandra of Danbury, Conn., Jackie S. Collins and fianc
