The Lady Jackets defeated the Lady Cats 25-19, 24-26, 25-21 in a very competitive contest at Bell High Thursday evening.
The win gives Middlesboro the number two seed for the 52nd District tournament. MHS (5-15, 4-2 in district play) returns to action next Thursday at home against Knox Central.
Bell (5-9, 1-3) is at Claiborne, Tenn., Monday, they’ll clinch the third seed with a win over Harlan at home on Sept. 30.
