ARTHUR, Tenn. — Charles Welch Jr., age 72, born October 11, 1937, passed away Saturday, October 2, 2010, at the University of Tennessee Hospital in Knoxville.

A member of Arthur United Methodist Church, he loved to sing and shared that gift with many in different churches. He had been serving the area in home improvement as Welch Aluminum for over 35 years.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Charles Welch and Irene Welch Cosby.

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years: Ruby Dunn Welch of Arthur; son: Rick Welch of Tazewell, Tenn.; daughter: Jamie (Jeff) Satterfield of Harrogate, Tenn.; special granddaughters; Jenna and Julia Satterfield; sisters: Alma Pearman of Arthur, Betty Evans of Nesbit, Miss.; aunt; Victoria Ridenour of Arthur; and everal nieces, nephews and many special friends and family

The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m. Wednesday at Coffey Funeral Home in Harrogate.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 7, at Coffey Funeral Home, Harrogate Chapel, with the Rev, Don Thomas and the Rev. Eric DooLittle presiding. Singers will be the Rev. Gary Tye and wife, Terri.

Burial will be in the Dunn Family Cemetery, Russell Hilt Road in Speedwell, Tenn. Pallbearers are David Pearman, Danny Pearman, Marty Dunn, Doug Clanton, Jack Francisco, Wayne Golden, and Ted Madon Honorary pallbearers will be special friends.
