Born September 22, 1962, at Middlesboro Appalachian. Regional Hospital, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Edward Rowlett and June Hurst Rowlett who survives. She was employed at Dr. Nitin Patel office, and was a member of Pump Springs Baptist Church.
Other than her father she was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Arthur Hurd.
Survivors include her mother, June Rowlett of Harrogate; husband, John David Hurd of Harrogate; son Clay Hurd of Middlesboro; daughter, Morgan Hurd of Harrogate; mother-in-law, Anna Hurd of Pineville; brother-in-law, Alan Hurd; sister-in-law, Lisa Hurd Deaton; special friends, Julia Blocker and Lelle Onkst; and a host of nieces nephews and other relatives and friends
Funeral services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 13, at Pump Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Scott Cannon presiding. Eulogy will be given by Junior Minton, and music will be by Linda Lankford, John King, Gary Miller, and Rod Wallace.
Pallbearers will be Randy and Rodney Lee, Alan Hurd, Robin Venable, Joe Butler, and Robie England. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Nitin Patel, Dr. Raymond Brig, Dr. Joseph Meyer, and office staff of Dr. Nitin Patel.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Pump Springs Baptist Church.
Burial will be in Oakgrove Cemetery in Claiborne County, Tenn.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
