LEE COUNTY, Va. - Grover Grant Hargraves, 83, passed away Sunday at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, Tenn.
A lifetime resident of Lee County, he was a retired self-employed farmer.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Janette Hargraves; one sister, Lurlie Buttery; and one brother, Eugene Hargraves.
He is survived by: his daughters, Lori Tiller (David) of Knoxville, Tenn., Laverne Brown (Zane) of Jonesville, Va.; sister, Emma Cavin, Rose Hill, Va.; four grandchildren, Tracy Carter, Matthew Tiller, Todd Brown and Darren Brown; and seven great-grandchildren, Seth McClain, Leah Carter, Sydney Carter, Kahlea Brown, Gabriel Brown, Grant Tiller, and Gracie Tiller.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 29, at Arney-Mullins Funeral Home in Rose Hill. Funeral service will follow at 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. L. J. Ellis officiating.
Graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Neal/Welch Cemetery in Tazewell, Tenn. Pallbearers will be Todd Brown, Darren Brown, Matt Tiller, Josh McCurry, Jonathan Cavin and Keith Hargraves. Honorary pallbearers will be Dale Cavin, Burble Buttery, Bobby Kinser, Rodney Kinser, Enos Gibson and Kyle Ellis.
