A lifelong resident of Lee County, Va., she was owner and operator of Wheet’s Recycling.
She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Mary Roark; four brothers, Mark, Murph, Charles and Wayne Roark; grandparents, Alonzo and Nancy Roark, and Robert and Sallie Pridemore.
She is survived by her husband, Charles M. Wheet; sons, Jerry Wheet and wife Becky of Hancock County, Tenn., and John Wheet of Ewing, Va.; grandchild, Marcus Wayne Wheet; brothers Manford Roark and Alva Roark, both of Ewing, Va.; sisters, Roberta Adams of Rose Hill, Va., and Elzabeth Shourn of Barbourville, Ky.; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 31, at Arney-Mullins Funeral Home in Rose Hill, Va.
