Georgia Hoskins Golden, 78 of Pineville, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 7, 2012. She passed away at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, Tenn.

She was born at Little Clear Creek on February 22, 1934, and was a daughter of the late General Fuston and Angeline Gibson Fuston Simpson. She had been a member of Salem #2 Baptist Church for over 39 years. Georgia had been a cook at Pineville Community Hospital, Don Rico’s and The Workshop in Harlan. She had been a loving mother and will be missed by all her children and family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, Carmel Hoskins and Matt Golden; sister, Virginia Hensley; grandson, Brandon Golden; and great-grandchildren, Ethan and Payton Hoskins.

Survivors include her children and their spouses, Betty Jo Howard of Clear Creek, Norman Wayne and Carolyn Sue Hoskins of Tazewell, Tenn., Carmel Jr. and Jay Genia Hoskins of Russellville, Vicky Lynn Hoskins and fiancé Charles Hixson of Rutledge, Tenn., Julius Michael and Kathy Hoskins of Harrogate, Tenn., Rosemary Hoskins Shackleford of Clear Creek and John Matt and Pamela Golden of Clear Creek; grandchildren, Rodney Howard, Norman Joseph Hoskins, Jonathan Stacy Hoskins, Amie Lake, Carla Berry, Dewayne Tolliver, Chris Ellison, Kimberly Ellison, Cheyenne Shackleford, Tracy Shackleford and Jonathan Golden; brothers and sisters, June Skidmore of Clear Creek, Jesse Browning of Harlan, Bob and Edith Fuston of Clear Creek and Carolyn and Paul Asher of Clear Creek; a host of great-grandchildren, step-children, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends; and special caregivers from Amedysis Home Health and Staff of Tazewell, Tenn., Devita Dialysis and Staff of Tazewell, Tenn., and Vanderbilt Hospital and Staff of Nashville, Tenn.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Salem #2 Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Gibson and the Rev. A. Y. Mills presiding. Music was by Joseph and Sandy Hoskins, Stacy and Crystal Hoskins and Vicky Hoskins.

Burial was in the Gibson Cemetery at Clear Creek, with Norman Joseph Hoskins, Jonathan Stacy Hoskins, Cheyenne Shackleford, Norman Wayne Hoskins, John Matt Golden and Bobby Fuston serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Julius Hoskins, Carmel Jr. Hoskins, Charles Hixson and Paul Asher.

The family received friends after 6 p.m. Monday at the Salem #2 Baptist Church at Clear Creek.
