Joe Clyde Southern, age 72, of Harrogate, Tenn., was born June 20, 1940, and passed away July 19, 2012, at the Claiborne County Nursing Home.
He was a member of Shawanee Baptist Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents, and a sister, Juanita Southern.
He is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn Southern of Harrogate; father-in-law,Henry Minton of Tazewell, Tenn.; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Richard and Marilyn Minton Tazewell, Tenn., and John and Phyllis Perry of Washburn, Tenn.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends Saturday, July 21, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Claiborne-Overholt Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, July, 22, in the Claiborne-Overholt Chapel with the Rev. Audie Miracle officiating.
Burial will follow in the England Cemetery.
