Phyllis Joan Laws, age 68 of Pineville, passed away on Friday, Aug. 3, 2012, at the Middlesboro ARH Hospital.

She was born in Pineville on April 5, 1944, and was a daughter of the late Uless and Axie Martin Laws. Phyllis believed in the Baptist faith and had been a cosmetologist.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Wanda June Laws, Shelby Cox and Ann Taylor.

Survivors include her daughters and grandchildren: Aundrea Parrott Roberts and her husband, Stephen and children, Haley, John Ryker, Eli, Kayla and Haley; and Dr. Rebecca John Parrott and her husband, Brian Sizemore and children, Eric and Evan; nieces and nephews, Pam Haley, Tom Gambrel, Gina Morrison, Elaine Warren and Ray Warren; friend of several years, William “Snook” Nelson; her little companion Chug, Cocoa and many other relatives and friends.

Services will be at noon Tuesday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Astor Simpson presiding. Music will be by Jeff Ralston.

Burial will follow in the Pineville Cemetery with Stephen Roberts, Brian Sizemore, Eric Raby, Ryker Gent, Tom Gambrel and Robbie Martin serving as pallbearers.
