Georgia Hubbs, 65 of Harlan, passed away Thursday, Aug. 16, 2012, at the Middlesboro ARH following a battle with cancer.
Born Dec. 1, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Alice Nolan Osborne, and she believed in the Methodist faith.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Ricky Hubbs; brothers, Johnny, Ronald, and James Osborne; and a sister, Denelda Engle.
She is survived by her loving son, Johnny (Kathy) Hubbs of Middlesboro; two step-grandchildren, Gary and April Howard of Harlan; sister, Ernestine Gosnell of Dayhoit; brothers, Wayne (Lori) Osborne of Bremen, Ind., and Harvey Jack (Agnes) Osborne of Cawood. She also leaves several nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends to mourn her passing
A memorial service will be held 7 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Landis officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorials to the Irene & Howard H. Baker Cancer Center, 389 Forge Ridge Road, Harrogate, TN 37752 in memory of Georgia.
