Dakota Lee Buis, 19 of Middlesboro, passed away Tuesday October 23, at his home. He was born December 17, 1992, in Pineville, the son of Charles Buis and Maria Howard McNeil. He attended the Old Cannon Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Rachel Buis.

He is survived by the following members of his family: daughter, Amirah Grace; mother Maria McNeil and Howie Posner; father and step mother, Charles and Teresa Buis; grandma, Glenna and papaw, Robert Cole; brothers, Micha, Charles Jr., and Bobby Buis, Adam Smith, Daniel Parker, Thomas Bingham, and Jacob Partin; sisters, Amanda Smith, Zoe Buis, Sierra and Allison Posner; aunts, Ammie Jo Mullen and her children Ian Felts and Parker T. Mullen, Viola Johnson; uncles, Bobby and Greg Howard; nieces, Alexia and Kennedy Smith; momma two, Devona Deaton; and a host of other family and friends;

Please do not remember Dakota for his passing, but for the love and joy that he spread.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 28, at the Creech Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. J.D. Barton presiding. Music will be provided by the Old Cannon Creek Singers. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery at New Tazewell, Tenn. Pallbearers will be Micha Buis, Charles Buis Jr., Adam Smith, Corey Johnson, Daniel Parker and Thomas Bingham. Honorary Pallbearers are: Bobby Conley Buis and Howard Posner.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, October 27, at the Creech Funeral Home.
