Dillard Hoskins, 66, of Arjay, passed away on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at the Pineville community Hospital. He was born in Arjay on December 15, 1946, a son of Geneva Sanders Hoskins Beeler and the late Gifford Hoskins. He believed in the Baptist Faith and had been a coal miner and had worked as a mechanic and car salesman.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by brothers and sister, Steve Hoskins, Eddie Hoskins and Carol Hoskins; son-in-law, Tony Akers.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Irene Sanders Hoskins; children: Penny Frye and husband, Kenneth; Shannon Akers and Steve Dillard Hoskins; grandchildren, Brittany Akers, Kendall Frye and husband, Shawn Henderson, Holly Akers, Logan Akers, Paige Frye and Kaleigh Grace Hoskins; mother, Geneva Beeler; brothers and sisters, Harold Hoskins, Joyce Hendrickson, Lynn Roark, Wanda Merdia and Connie Messer; special friends, Dean Knuckles and Jerry Cox and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services will be at noon Thursday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Wagner and Rev. Jesse Roark. Burial will be in the Red Hill Cemetery at Arjay. Pallbearers will be Shawn Henderson, Kenneth Frye T.R. Christopher, Michael Flemming, Dean Knuckles, Bobby Darnell, James Ywell, III, Austin Brock, Jake Taylor and Michael Cox.
